Biographical Sketch
William (Bill) V. Blake III was born January 12, 1937, in Jackson, Michigan, the son of William and Frances Blake. Bill graduated from Jackson High School in Michigan in 1955. At Jackson High, he was a prominent member of the swimming and track teams and president of his senior class. He graduated from DePauw University in 1959 where he earned 11 varsity letters in track and swimming. He and his brother Tom are both in the DePauw Athletic Hall of Fame. Bill was a member of Delta Chi fraternity. He served in the United States Army. Bill was the founder of Overwraps, a highly successful specialized printing company, which he ran for 25 years. Bill had two sons, Derek and Rod.
