Biographical Sketch

Amanda Way was born July 10, 1828 in Winchester, Indiana and died February 24, 1914 in Whittier, California. A social reformer and a leader in the Temperance Movement, she served as a local preacher for the North Indiana Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church during the 1870s.
