The collection includes copies of articles written by Barbara Yuncker, most being from The New York Post, 1959-1974 and photocopies of articles about the awards and honors she received over the years as a journalist. Also included is a copy of her obituary from the Banner Graphic.

Biographical Sketch
Barbara A. Yuncker was born November 11, 1921 in Greencastle, IN. She was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Truman G. Yuncker. Her father was a botany professor at DePauw University, from which she graduated in 1943 as a member of Phi Beta Kappa with honors in English. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority at DPU. In 1976, her alma mater gave her an honorary doctor of letters degree in recognition of her leadership on science and medical reporting. Yuncker was a prize-winning science reporter for The New York Post until her retirement in 1986. She died of cancer January 1, 1996.
