Bookstore Calendars
Collection Statement
Early yearly calendars had photographs of campus scenes and people. These probably were produced by the university. In later years Sam Hanna's Book Store, owned by 1924 DPU graduate, Samuel T. Hanna, issued free school year calendars. These included city school as well as campus activities. After he sold the college part of his store to the university in 1953, the calendar carried the title, The DePauw Book Store Calendar.
Different university offices have distributed school year calendars over the years. They are printed in list form instead of monthly calendar pages. The University Scheduling Committee had this responsibility for approximately 30 years. The Public Relations Office was the next to produce this yearly publication.
