Biographical Sketch
Educated in the city schools of Greencastle and in the Academy of Indiana Asbury University, which she entered in 1884, Miss Gilmore was in 1908 called by Dr. Salem B. Town, then field secretary and later treasurer of the library until someone could be found to fill a vacancy. That temporary position grew into twenty-five years of faithful and efficient service in the DePauw University library. She retired on January 1, 1934. She died in her home on Tuesday, March 26, 1946.
