Oversize photographs and manuscripts that are too large for file folders or flat boxes are stored in cabinets with flat drawers. These items are either DePauw and United methodist Church related.

This collection includes a Civil War diary, journals, clippings, hymnal, map, poem, letter and lists once belonging to Thomas V. Lyon.

This collection contains college speeches, folders on the Civil War, miscellaneous folders, and pictures. Also included in the back of the document case is a copy of a diary from June 24, 1863 and a brief history of the part played by Col. William D. Ward in the Civil War as written by himself.

This collection consists of Philological Society Orations and Essays, Rostrum Essays, class work, Anti-Slave Orations, letters by William as a student, miscellaneous letters, civil war letters, and a bound letter of the WILLIAM S. STEWART LETTERS from 1861-1862.
