Richland United Methodist Church (Richland City, Spencer County, Ind.)
administrative history
Circuit riders held the first services in the Perry Conty area for United Brethren and Methodist faiths about 1875/1876. These services were combined in the old Ebenezer United Brethren Church. In December 1881 a group of Methodists organized and began a campaign to raise money for a church home. In May 1886 a lot was purchased and in time a church building was erected. Many improvements have been made over the years to this church building. In April 1969 the congregation held their first service in a new church building.
