Scope and Contents DePauw University was accredited by the North Central Association and the Indiana Department of Public Instruction for its teacher training program. In 1959, DePauw sought wider recognition from the National Council for the Accredidation of Teacher Education (NCATE). The Council granted provisional accredidation in March 1959.
