Scope and Contents
DePauw University was accredited by the North Central Association and the Indiana Department of Public Instruction for its teacher training program. In 1959, DePauw sought wider recognition from the National Council for the Accredidation of Teacher Education (NCATE). The Council granted provisional accredidation in March 1959. In May 1960, DePauw was awarded full accreditation. A portion of this collection includes the accredidation records of the Teacher Education program at DePauw. It also includes Education Studies departmental records and student files.
