Scrapbook of clippings on his book "Chickamauga", 1961
Collection Statement
This collection includes printed materials, typed carbon copies, community projects, invitations, book reviews, awards, clippings and letters.
There are four cases of letters from various correspondents, mainly to Glenn Tucker. Mr. Tucker did not keep copies of all of his replies but many are scattered through, or are at the back of the folders.
The arrangement of letters to GT was roughly by year with clippings intermixed. Fro convenience the letters have been arranged by years and then alphabetically by correspondent's name; the "clips" have been mounted and placed at the front of the folders according to the year.
Since the limits of space and time have prevented a complete listing of names. A selection of names has been noted in each entry. The researcher should realize, however, that there are many more letters in each folder than the entries on the register indicate.
During the Civil War Centennial years 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, letters written by secretaries of Civil War Round Tables will be found in the regular arrangement of letters under the initials CWRT; letters for 1965, however, have been placed in a folder to themselves for that year.
