Photographs and biographical documents, 1891 - 1937

This collection includes photographs of Joseph Eijiro Takasugi as well as two articles about his life. The first article is from a Phi Delt publication titled, The Scrolls, dated from October 1934. The article "Phi Delt Across the Seas" was written by John Millett, class of 1933. The second article is from The DePauw Alumnus magazine, dated from May-June 1937. It details specifics about Dr. Takasugi's honorary degree and the Japanese cloisonne vase and Hokkaido Imperial University scroll gifted to the university as part of its centennial celebration in 1937.
