The collection includes Chemistry Department student papers ranging in date from 1951 - 1983. Papers are arranged alphabetically by the student's last name. Also included are Chemistry department photographs, histories, clippings, student notebooks, and miscellaneous records.

The collection contains papers, records, lectures and letters created and collected by Cook over several decades. Many pertain to the science programs at DePauw University, as well as scholarships and research programs. Much of it was tagged for archiving beforehand. It also contains notes from his own college days.
