Scope and Contents

This collection includes photographs of the Association of Afro-American Students (AAAS) taken by Communications and Marketing, a black history month article written by Willis 'Bing' Davis featured in the Banner Graphic on February 21, 1985, Black Culture Week pamphlets, awards pamphlets, and DePauw-related student life publications created by the AAAS for faculty, staff, student, alumni, and prospective student use.

Collection Statement This collection includes issues of the Black Alumni Newsletter ranging from the fall 1987 to winter 1993-1994. The newsletter focuses on faculty, staff and students as well as campus events, national and international news. Information about alumni reunions, university announcements, scholarship awards, and interviews are also included. Of note, a column in the winter 1988-1989 newsletter features content on the new Association of Afro-American Students (AAAS)...
